At the heart of my teaching is one simple but powerful thing: relationships. I truly believe that when students feel seen, cared for, and supported, that’s when real learning happens. My biggest goal is to help every student grow; not just in reading and math, but also in confidence, independence, and social-emotional skills.
I care deeply about each of my students and their families. I believe that strong communication between home and school makes all the difference, so please know my door (and my inbox!) is always open. If you ever have a question, concern, or just want to chat, I’m more than happy to hop on a phone call or send an email. I love hearing from families and getting to know you as partners in your child’s learning journey.
One of my favorite parts of teaching is building connections that go beyond the classroom. I love hearing about your child’s adventures; whether it’s a vacation, a soccer game, a dance recital, or just a fun weekend story. Those updates make me smile and help me know your child even better, so please share them whenever you’d like!
In our classroom, I believe in meeting students where they are and helping them grow step by step. I will always encourage and challenge your child, but I’ll be right there to support them every inch of the way. I also believe that learning should be meaningful and fun. That means hands-on activities, games, group work, and weaving in the things students care about most. I love asking students what excites them, what they want to learn about, and then finding ways to bring those interests into our lessons.
Most of all, I see our classroom as a community where students learn not only from me, but also from each other. We cheer each other on, celebrate successes big and small, and help one another grow. I’m learning right alongside my students every day, and I will always do everything I can to support them; academically, socially, and emotionally.
I can’t wait for all the growth, joy, and learning this year will bring!
