A Little About Me

Hello! My name is Mrs. Dammann. I have been working at Doyle School since February of 2018. I started as a substitute, then a paraprofessional, a maternity leave replacement in Pre-K, and then I taught first-grade pullout resource, preschool disabled for two years. Last year I was the k-1 self-contained teacher. This year I am so excited to be Self-contained 1-2 at Doyle. I love this place!!

So here is a bit about me: I am a wife and a mother of five children now ages 19, 20, 22, 23, and 24. We have 5 dogs that have stolen our hearts.

I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and my dogs. I love being outdoors especially near a body of water. 

Prior to Doyle, I have taught for 11 plus years in Pre-K through 6th grade, as well as being a director of an early childhood daycare center, and a director of children's programs for ages 4-12. I received my undergraduate degree at Pace University in Elementary Education N-8th. I completed four graduate courses at Fordham University in Reading and Literacy, a 30 hour training certificate through IMSE in Orton-Gillingham, and my Masters through William Paterson University in Special Education (Teacher of Students with Disabilities). Currently, I am continuing my education toward a second masters and certification as a reading specialist through Fairleigh Dickinson university. I look forward to seeing many of your familiar faces and meeting some new students and families. This year ahead is filled with opportunities for learning and growing together.
