I’m so happy to be teaching Spanish at Doyle and WRIS this year! One of my favorite things about working with children is getting to know each of them for who they are and creating a space where they feel comfortable, encouraged, and excited to learn.
Spanish has always been a meaningful part of my life. I’m bilingual, and having lived in Ecuador for many years, I grew up experiencing the language as something that connects people, families, and communities. I feel very lucky to now have the opportunity to share that language with our students.
I’m also a mom in our school community, which makes Doyle and WRIS especially close to my heart. As both a teacher and a parent, I know how much it means to know that your child is learning with someone who truly cares about them. My hope is that every student who comes to Spanish class feels welcomed, supported, and proud of themselves, especially when they’re trying something completely new.
Most of all, I want Spanish to be a class they look forward to each week. I can’t wait to get to know your children, celebrate their progress, and watch their confidence grow throughout the year.
