Participation in the Science Fair is open to all Wolf’s Crossing students in grades K-5. This project is an optional, at-home enrichment activity. The purpose of the fair is to encourage interest in science, to help students develop organization, problem-solving, research and time management skills, but most of all to have fun with science!

  • Students, with the help of parents, will design and conduct a science experiment to find the answer to a question or problem, then create an exhibit to display at the Science Fair on Science Night 2019.
  • Students should be prepared to briefly discuss their project with judges and answer questions; however, formal presentations are not required. Faculty and personnel from District 308, Wolf’s Crossing Elementary School, and High School students will serve as judges.
  • Students may submit a project with a partner (only two students per project). Partners may be of different grades/classrooms. Judging of joint projects will be based on highest grade level of partners.
  • Each project will be given an assigned space on a table. Students should use standard size tri-fold boards for their display.
  • A parent or chaperone must accompany each participant.
  • Each student will receive a Science Fair medal for participation. A Certificate of Achievement, based on judges scoring, will be award to top entries from each grade.
  • The PTA is awarding a prize for the most outstanding project. More details to come!
