School Counseling
According to the American School Counselor Association, high school students are characterized by rapid physical growth, curiosity about their world and an emerging self-identity. Through a comprehensive developmental school counseling program, counselors work as a team member with school staff, parents and the community to create a caring, supportive climate and atmosphere whereby young adolescents can achieve academic success.

Ms. Villano has been a school counselor for 25 years and received her Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Northeastern University and a Master's in School Counseling and Sixth Year degree in Administration from Southern Connecticut State University. Ms. Villano enjoys spending time with her family, at the beach, and as a Realtor in New Haven County.
Mrs. Giedra

Mrs. Giedra has been a School Counselor since 2013. She earned her Bachelor's degree from UConn in Human Development & Family Studies and her Master's degree in School Counseling from Southern Connecticut State University. Mrs. Giedra enjoys spending time with her family, making pretzels, and listening to live music.

Mrs. Brochu earned her Bachelor's Degree from Quinnipiac University and her Master's Degree in School Counseling from Central Connecticut State University. She has been a School Counselor at Wolcott High School since 2007. Mrs. Brochu enjoys spending time with her family, going to the beach, making music and baking with her two daughters.

Mr. Wursthorn is the Director of School Counseling. He earned his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Gettysburg College, a Master's Degree in School Counseling from Central Connecticut State University and a Sixth Year Diploma in School Leadership from Southern Connecticut State University. Mr. Wursthorn enjoys spending time with his family, working on cars and water-skiing .
Mrs. Fontanella
School Social Worker
Mrs. Fontanella : In her role as School Social Worker she assists students with their academic and emotional needs as well as serve as the link between school and home. She earned her Bachelors degree from Eastern Connecticut State University and Master's from University of Connecticut. She is dually certified as a Licensed Social Worker and Alcohol and Drug Counselor. Mrs. Fontanella enjoys skiing, spending time with her family and traveling.
Ms. Scheer
School Counseling Intern
Ms. Scheer earned her Bachelor's Degree in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of New Hampshire and her Master's Degree in Education from WIdener University. She is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in School Counseling at Western Connecticut State University. Ms. Scheer enjoys reading, being an aunt, spending time with her family, and tattoos.
