American History 1950s-1980s
One of our focuses this year will be picking up in American history where the students left off last year. Students will begin the year by investigating events from the '50s through '90s America and analyzing the impact major events from this era had on different groups of people.
Developing Skills
We will be doing quite a bit of reading and writing during our time together! One major skill we will work on is the art of summarizing longer texts (no easy task!). We will also work on our note-taking skills, evaluating sources, and spend some time with the research process.
