When any new student enrolls in school, the student's family is required to complete a Language Use Survey. The Language Use Survey asks three questions:
- What language(s) did your child first speak or understand?
- What language(s) does your child most easily speak or understand?
- What language(s) do people use with your child daily?
If a language other than English is indicated then an English language screener will be administered.
