Early College allows high school juniors and seniors to take college-level courses while remaining at Woburn Memorial High School and earn transferable college credit at no cost. At WMHS, students enroll in University of Massachusetts Lowell courses taught by UMass Lowell faculty, gaining an authentic college experience in a supportive high school setting. OneGoal Student Support - Students enrolled in an Early College course at WMHS will be strongly encouraged to join a OneGoal cohort.
OneGoal is a postsecondary success program that provides students, particularly those who may be underrepresented in higher education, with a dedicated class and teacher (Program Director) during the school day. The program focuses on helping students identify their career and college goals, strengthen their academic and social-emotional skills, and navigate the application and enrollment process. Support doesn’t stop at graduation; students continue to receive mentoring and coaching into their first year of college or another postsecondary pathway, ensuring persistence and long-term success.
Students taking the OneGoal course will earn Business Credit towards graduation.
