My name is Ella Parker. My passion project is an affordable 3D printed Prosthetic that can be used when playing sports. The problem I chose was Good Health and Well Being. Many kids and adults do not have limbs to be able to do daily life things. I wanted to change the way they live and I also wanted to make it easier for them as well. Growing up, my parents really wanted to printed 3D printed hands to give to someone in need. We were never able to complete that task because of lack of technology. Now I have the chance to make something that I really wanted to do. This hand was meant to impact kids who are in need and that also love to play sports. The benefits of this hand is that it is very affordable. Prosthetics can be so expensive, so I wanted to fix that. All of our Passion Projects are diferent. We all have different goals we want to achieve. My goal is to make a 3D printed hand that does not cost much and can make someone feel good about themselves. Each kid in the 8th grade was given a task to make a project that could help lessen the effects of world problems. Includng, World Hunger, Good Health and Well-being and Gender Equality. We were given another task to fix these problems through things that we are passionate about. For me, I am passionate about sports, but mainly softball. My Passion Project is the creation of affordable 3D printed hands for kids and adults that don't have. I then made it more specific towards sports like baseball and softball and made a hand for those two sports. We had to also chose a goal that we would use to base our project off of. I decided to do good health and well-being. It was very helpful to have many resources that I can use to help further enhance my project.
