English Enrichment

Mrs. Prinsen, a Special Educator at BFUHS, co-teaches the English Enrichment class, and therefore, she is considered an honorary member of the English Department. Mrs. Prinsen earned a B.S. and M.Ed. from Northeastern University in Boston and has specialized in reading instruction. She has served as a mentor for new teachers to BFUHS and is a member of the BFUHS Freshman Academy. She has also participated as a visiting team member to several other high schools in the accreditation process by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges. Her hobbies and interests include hiking, gardening, reading, and sewing.

Teaching Independence & Decision-Making through Educational Support (TIDEs PROGRAM)

Mrs. Moody has been teaching in Bellows Falls for nine years. Bellows Falls is a wonderful learning environment for students and a caring environment for both students and teachers! Her professional goal is to create a more positive learning environment by celebrating teacher and student successes as often as possible. Mrs. Moody graduated from Granite State College in 2004 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Science. She earned her Master's Degree at Keene State College in 2009 in Special Education. she is currently enrolled at Plymouth State University working toward certification in Special Education K-12 Administration and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Educational Leadership. Mrs. Moody and her husband have been married for 15 years and have one daughter and two cats.

Academic Enrichment

Mrs. Crespo graduated Bellows Falls High School and went on to attend St. Michael’s College where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy. From there, she attended Keene State College where she was certified as a special educator and elementary school educator. She began her special education teaching career in Newport, NH in grades kindergarten through fourth grade. She received her Master of Education degree in Literacy and Learning in the Content Areas through Walden University. She has been working at BFUHS since 1997. Mrs. Crespo’s interests include camping, gardening, shopping, and spending time with her family.

Ms. Sanborn has worked for the District since 2015 and a member of the BFUHS family since 2016. She graduated from Keene State College in 2004 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History specializing in United States History. She also graduated from Granite State College with a Post-Baccalaureate with Teacher Certification (PBTC) in 2012 in General Special Education. Outside of school she spends her time with her niece and nephew including cheering them on in their extracurriculars. She also spends her time doing arts and crafts as well as attempting to cook.

Life Skills Program

Mrs. Chapman is a Special Educator in the Life Skills Program. she grew up in Texas and upstate New York before moving to Vermont in 2001. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Education with a concentration in Anthropology and Sociology from Johnson State College. Mrs. Chapman earned her Master’s Degree in Special Education from Castleton State College. When she is not teaching Mrs. Chapman enjoys spending time with her daughter, husband, two cats and their dog. She is passionate about teaching and guiding her students to become independent, productive community members.

Mrs. McAllister was born and raised in the great State of New York, spending most of her adult life there. She grew up on the East End of Long Island and slowly migrated further inland in order to be closer to the City. She has been a proud member of the WNESU learning community for the past seven years. Her experience spans across multiple grade levels and settings, which includes assisting students with a wide range of disabilities. The majority of her educational career has been dedicated to the Intensive Needs population. She attended Marist College 2009 graduating with a Bachelor of Arts and Educational Psychology and again in 2014 completing a Master of Arts in Educational Psychology. Presently she is attending the University of New England for her Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Advanced Educational Leadership.
