FOSSEE is an initiative based in India that promotes the use of free and open-source software (FLOSS) in education, academia, research, and industry. It is part of the National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (ICT) under the Ministry of Education, Government of India and is implemented at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay.

STARBOOKS contains hundreds of thousands of digitized science and technology resources in text, audio, and video formats housed in specially designed “pods.” This digital library is also intended to be highly transportable to reach the furthest locations in the Philippines including the off-grid sites, conflict areas, and the remotest indigenous communities.
