Popularity on this app is very often based on creativity, skill, and overall the original dance routines created by users. Every so often a dance routine becomes a viral hit, and other users of the platform post their own versions copying the original user. This is the trend of Tik Tok dances. Dances often will start off with a smaller creator that is creating some sort of choreography for any type of song. Eventually, larger creators will find these dances and post videos of them completing the dance. Once a larger creator posts the dance on their account with a large following the Tik Tok dance will often go viral. This is why it is called a dancing trend because once one person does it everyone else will eventually.

Overall this Tik Tok trend is interesting to me because I am not a very good dancer so seeing other people be super great at it is very cool. I don’t often see the twins or Michael on my feed while scrolling through Tik Tok while everyone knows Charli. I follow Charli and she is a very graceful dancer who gets her timing and rhythm down leading her dances to be just right for her Tik Tok page. I would rate this trend an 8/10 because seeing people do something I am not the best at is very cool especially when they do it with too many different songs.
