Raise Craze is a meaningful, interactive fundraiser where students serve others in our community by completing specified acts of kindness. These can range from small acts, such as writing their teacher a thank you note, to larger ones, like creating care boxes for firefighters with snacks, small gifts, and juices. Students pick what they want to do for others.
Families will input email addresses into the Raise Craze website and it will send emails explaining the acts of kindness that the student completed. Each recipient can donate as much as they choose through the secure Raise Craze website.
Students will NOT be selling anything.
Students will NOT be collecting money.
Students will NOT be going door to door asking for donations.
Students will NOT get paid for being kind.
Time is spent being kind and serving others, not selling items. Students are to complete their acts of kindness no matter what. They are not serving others just to get donations. Raise Craze wants students to see the impact of paying it forward to others and how helping the community, helps us all.
Why MPTO loves Raise Craze
The Raise Craze initiative aligns with WMPCS's core values that emphasize the significance of character education and community service. Acts of kindness and contributing to our community are basic tenets of our school's philosophy.
In 2024, WMPCS participated in the Raise Craze fundraiser for the first time and we raised $12,000. Last year, our school raised $13,000. MPTO strongly believes in the Raise Craze program. Our goal this year is $20,000. But we cannot do this without everyone's help.
MPTO selected Raise Craze for many reasons; here are a few:
Reinforces kindness and improves the culture of our school
Everyone can participate by completing acts of kindness
No classroom interruption or teacher involvement needed
Our school will keep over 94% of the money raised
