Restorative options for students offer opportunities for the student to restore relationships between themselves and any stakeholders they have affected due to the behavior or incident.
Reflective options for students offer opportunities for the students to reflect about the decisions they made that led to discipline in the first place. Examples include reflection sheets, role-playing, and interviews.
Instructional options for students offer opportunities for students that target the function of the behavior and help them learn the skills needed to not engage in such behaviors again. Examples include behavior lessons, social skills, teaching opportunities and behavior exams.
Apology Letter Template - Student will draft an apology letter to the wronged party/stakeholder. The student and the stakeholder will meet with an administrator to review the letter and ensure
Restorative Contract - Student will create a restorative contract with the wronged party and the school administrator.
Restorative Meeting - Student will meet with the victim in a safe, supervised place with the administrator present to share what was learned from this experience and how it will not continue.
Reflection: Student will interview important women in their life and ask how they would feel if someone sexually harassed them. Student will present what they learned to the administrator.
Individual Behavior Contract - Student will create an individual behavior contract identifying their commitment to changing their behavior.
Structured Schedule - Student will be given a structured schedule with check-ins set up for six to eight weeks with the administrator.
Research: Student will research the district hadnbook description of sexual harassment and identify a sexual harassment policy in a work environment. Student will write an essay describing what was learned and the consequences connected to engaging in these types of behaviors within the community.
Research Prevention: Student will visit the U.S. Department of Justice Website to research prevention on violence against women and present finding and laws to the administrator.
