Welcome to my homepage
I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, MI. Prior to this, I was a post-doctoral research fellow at the Center for Research in Wireless Mobility and Networking (CReWMAN) in Missouri University of Science and Technology, Rolla, MO, USA. Prior to that, I received my Ph.D. and M.S. in Computer Engineering from Dept. of EECS, at the University of Central Florida, in 2015 and 2011 respectively, and Bachelor of Technology in Information Technology from West Bengal University of Technology, India in 2009. I am the director of STAR Lab (Security Trust and AI for Resilient Systems)
In my research group, we mainly design data driven and model driven frameworks for the safety, security, trustworthiness, and dependability in smart connected systems. Our research group strives to balance both fundamental theory contributions as well as applied research. A list of topics include:
Security Data Science: Anomaly Detection, Explainable Machine Learning for Security, Device Scoring and Classification Models, Behavioral Fingerprinting
Safety, Security and Reliability in IoT for Smart Grids, Smart Transportation, Mobile Crowdsensing, Cyber Physical Systems
Next Generation Wireless Networks: Sustainable Smart Connected Communities, Energy and Spectrum Efficiency, Dynamic Spectrum Access, Predictive Resource Allocation.
Trustworthy and Dependable Systems: Trust and Reputation Scoring Models, Dependable Decision Theory, Prospect Theory, Behavioral Economics
