The Cookout showcased the diverse and vibrant tapestry of Black musical expression, with dynamic performances from Rae Khalil, DJs Earry Hall and Okay Coleman!, and youth performers from The Harmony Project. Guests indulged in eats from Earle's on Crenshaw and Southern Girl Desserts, drinks sponsored by Lobos 1707 Tequila and Via Rae, and non-alcoholic cocktails from The Mocktail Club. Simultaneously, a photo booth and spades tournament hosted by the World of Spades cultivated an atmosphere of camaraderie and joy.
The Cookout also served as a way to promote social impact by hosting a fundraiser and showcase for The Harmony Project.
The students of The Harmony Project captivated audiences with their remarkable performance, demonstrating the profound impact of arts programming in empowering young minds. Afterward, the organization was presented with a $5,000 check toward instruments for their students from the Guitar Center Foundation.
