How was this applied?
The ball shrinks in it's Y-Axis upon landing, emphasizing that impact.

How was this applied?
Features:
1) Two spotlights (aided by an ambient light)
2) Several black armchairs
3) A marble statue in the left-hand third of the screen that immediately draws the viewer's attention.

How was this applied?
Before "jumping" onto the armchair, the ball squashes vertically. It does so to clue in the audience to the fact that the ball is about to "jump" up.
