Final Animation
A snowball goes on a short adventure and becomes something new! ⛄

Storyboard
The storyboard helped me plan my animation, but I didn't follow it exactly. As I developed my project, I added a few more scenes and changed some small details (e.g., the rock was replaced with a tree).
Frames and Descriptions
In the first scene, I really liked having the "sun" light up the path the snowball jumps down. I think it added to the magical feel of the story.
This overhead shot helps to show how fast the snowball is going and how quickly it is gaining mass. It also shows off more of the snowy forest including the frozen lake.
Here, a villager, the red ball, jumps up to add a face to the snowman. You can also see here how I made the snowball's shading slightly blue to easily distinguish it from the white snow on the ground.
This is a scene I added that wasn't part of the storyboard. I thought I needed this to better establish and lengthen the snowball's journey.
I think I did a good job of aligning the sky image and the actual lights to make this scene look very magical. The lighting/sun represents a new beginning for the snowball.
Here you can see the bump map details on the coal eyes and carrot nose.
