As a student entering ninth grade on or after July 1, 2019, Ohioโs new high school graduation requirements give you more flexibility to choose a graduation pathway that builds on your strengths and passions โ one that ensures you are ready for your next steps and excited about the future.
4 Units of Mathematics
4 Units of English Language Arts
3 Units of Social Studies
3 Units of Science
1 Unit of Health & Physical Education
6 Units of Electives including Fine Art Requirement
Earn a 684 or above on Ohioโs high school Algebra I and English II tests. Students who do not pass the test will be offered additional support and must retake the test at least once.
Earn credit for one college-level math and/ or college-level English course through Ohioโs free College Credit Plus program.
Students must meet two criteria - of which one must be foundational.
Foundational:
Proficient scores on WebXams
Earning 12 pt of approved industry-recognized credentials
Pre-apprenticeship or apprenticeship program

250-hours Work-based Learning

Show evidence that you have signed a contract to enter a branch of the U.S. armed services upon graduation.
