Makerspace: A place to create, tinker, discover, learn, and explore!
Students get to interact actively instead of passively in a makerspace. They get to hold an active role in their learning, engaging their minds and their bodies. Students use the resources available to create rather than consume, building further creativity and confidence along the way. Participating in the creative process helps in design thinking which results in better critical thinking and problem solving. Creative Problem Solving is a process that asks the thinker/doer to clarify, formulate, and generate among other things. When a student has a creative mindset, they are breaking a project/problem apart, discovering the details, and building things back up.
