West Side Giving Snowman

In order to brighten as many holidays as possible within our school community, the counseling office is creating a Giving Snowman. Sometimes unexpected life circumstances can make the holiday season hard for families who may be struggling to provide the basic needs, let alone gifts for their children. Our community is so compassionate and generous, we feel there are students and families who would be willing to help with our initiative to make the season special for some of our families in need.

As you might expect, the needs and wishes of these children are no different than those of our own children. Every snowflake represents a child in our school community. If you'd like to help one of our local families, click on the link below to fill out the Giving Snowman form.

How does the Giving Snowman work?

Click the button above to fill out the Giving Snowman form. On the form you are able to choose one or more snowflakes (children) to shop for this holiday season. There is another option to purchase gift cards for the families as well.

Why don't I see any options to pick a snowflake/student?

That's a good problem to have! This means all the students on the list have been chosen. We do have a waitlist of students and families, so we can add more if needed. We monitor the site as much as we can; however, if you don't see any snowflakes added after a while, please email Mary Russell.

How do I get the donated items to the school?

Once you have items to donate, you or your student can give them to your student's school counselor in the counseling office. If you do not have any current students in our building, you can drop off the item(s) to the counseling office. We can also make arrangements to meet you at your car if needed.

When do you need the items?

Please have any donated items to the counseling office by Monday December 12th.
