Meet Mrs. Pierson
Meet Mrs. Pierson
My name is Erin Pierson, and I am originally from West Lafayette. I graduated from Purdue in 2009 with a B.A. in Elementary Education. I completed my student teaching in Chicago and stayed for eight years. In Chicago, I completed my M.Ed. in Curriculum Studies for Social Justice, Democracy and Urban Education at DePaul University in 2015. After meeting my husband, Josh, in the city, we decided to set off on an adventure out west to Idaho. We had the best time exploring and enjoying the great outdoors, but, after growing our family with two little ones, we decided to head back to the Midwest. We arrived back in June 2022 and have enjoyed every minute with old friends and my family. I am so glad to be back home and feel lucky to be at this amazing school!
My high ability literacy class will be grouped to read Greek Myths, adapt them into a new style/theme, write scripts, create characters and backgrounds with either paper or clay, and then film and edit their videos. This grant provides more professional equipment and resources to make the videos even better than last year. I can't wait to get started!
Our family hobbies mostly revolve around being outside, riding bikes all over town (even camping!), playing sports & attending sporting events, and finding new things to experience. Keep your eyes peeled, and you just might see us cruising around on our white longtail electric bicycle!
