Classroom Management

I try to motivate my students in a variety of ways, both individual and whole group. Tickets are given to students as positive reinforcements. Students can then "cash in" their tickets for various prizes. As a whole class, we are also working towards scrabble tile rewards.

Grading

Students will be graded on a percentage based system, though every assignment may not be taken for a grade, with the grading scale as follows:

100% A+ 88-89% B+ 78-79% C+ 68-69% D+ 59-0% F

99-93% A 87-83% B 77-73% C 67-63% D

92-90% A- 82-80% B- 72-70% C- 62-60% D-

Homework policy

Homework assignments may be turned in up to two days late (with the exception of a student being absent). Late assignments will be counted 10% off and will not be accepted after the two day grace period.

Parents will be notified via email of late and missing homework assignments.
