Welcome to First Grade

Hello! My name is Mrs. Rebecca Kaverman, and I am happy to be teaching first grade at West Lafayette Elementary School! Exciting academic, social, emotional, and physical growth take place in first grade. I look forward to a wonderful school year together with your student and your family. It's a special journey to be on together.

My goals in first grade are:

• build children's self esteem through encouragement and positive learning enviornment

• devlop life long learners; learning can be fun and exciting!

• create a classroom community where all children feel valued and welcome
