Middle School Instructional Model for 

ALL POSSIBILITIES

REMOTE INSTRUCTION

• All staff are physically present in the school building every day (unless prohibited by an executive order). All students learn from home via their 1:1 devices.

• The master schedule is followed.

• Daily attendance is taken for all students every period.

• Student progress is assessed via the quarterly grading system.

• Every Gr. 6-8 student has a Chromebook in their possession.

• Teachers and students will utilize their 1:1 devices to engage in whole group, small group and individualized learning throughout the school day.

• Classes will gather for every period via a Google Meet. Students are expected to sign into each Google Meet on time and to remain present for the duration of the class period. A combination of live instruction and virtual programs (Nearpod, Flipgrid, WeVideo, SeeSaw, etc.) will be utilized to cover course content.

• IEP & 504 Plans will be implemented and adhered to on a daily basis.

In the event that Udall Road Middle School enters into a fully remote learning environment, please follow the guidelines below:

• Please make sure that your Chromebook is charged each day.

• Students are expected to sign into each Google Meet on time and remain present for the duration of the class period.  Links can be found on Classroom banners.

• The teacher will have the Google Meet link posted in their classroom for students to join the live lesson each day. 

• Attendance will be taken each period.

• Students must display their faces and be situated in surroundings that are conducive to learning.  Students should be seated at a desk, counter or table; with minimal distractions around them.

• Students must be dressed appropriately for the school environment.

Students will follow their daily bell schedule while on remote learning.
