Congratulations to all of our 7th & 8th Grade Orchestra, Band, and Vocal Ensemble musicians on your fantastic performances yesterday at the Long Island String Festival. All three ensembles earned SUPERIOR ratings from the adjudicators and received valuable feedback during their workshop sessions. We are proud of your hard work and dedication.

Congratulations to the softball team on an outstanding victory over Brentwood East as they continued their undefeated season! Mollie DelColle delivered a strong performance in relief, facing 11 batters while recording 3 strikeouts and allowing no runs. Offensively, Arabella Cairo went 3-for-4 with 3 RBIs, while Gianna Vargas had a perfect 4-for-4 day at the plate with 3 runs scored. Jasmine Ozdemir led the offensive explosion, going 4-for-5 with an incredible 4 home runs and 10 RBIs. Great job by the entire team on another impressive win! The next game will be Tuesday at home against Brentwood West.
The Combined middle school boy's tennis team won its 6th match against Babylon 6-1. Winning for the Lions was Landon Haimowitz, Evan O'Connor, Michael Beltrami, Nick Raucci, Joe DellaUniversita, Alex Martin, Joe Petrillo and Olek Sobko. Great performances by Justin Calcano, Bobby Landi, Jake Slayback, Patrick Mulligan, and Will Fox.

The Udall baseball team defeated Babylon by a score of 8-0 to improve their record to 7-0. Jake Tyler, Ryan Abi-Zeid, Xavier Rodriguez, Jake Pike, and Logan Platt combined to throw 7 shutout innings allowing just 2 hits and striking out 9. Platt slugged at the plate hitting both a double and a triple to drive in 2 runs. Robbie Franco and Chris Akalski also had key RBIs to lead the team to victory. The next game is against Beach Street on Saturday at the high school at 10:00, come and support!

The girls track team stood their ground vs Great Hollow MS yesterday afternoon. Bella Fedyshyn took 2nd place in high jump setting a new PR of 4'3" and Reagan took 4th place. In shot put, Riley McEvoy took 2nd with 25'6" and Ana Alicea set a new PR of 19'3". Mikaela Baker tied for 2nd place followed by Ava Pongvitayapanu and Laila Southard tied for 4th in long jump. In the 55m hurdles: Mikaela took 3rd and Ella Toscano took 4th place. Bella tied for 2nd in 55m and McKenzie in 4th. McKenzie tied 1st place in 100m. Laila Southard PR'd in 1st & along with Bella in 4th place in the 400m. Mikaela took 3rd place in 800m. Laila Southard took 2nd place in 200m. Bella, Riley, Anna, Addy, Ava, Laila, McKenzie and Natalie set new PR's today in 1 or more event. Keep up the hard work girls and good luck Monday home vs Commack MS!
All band woodwind members have lessons today. Please check the schedule and attend your lessons after the assembly. All 7th/8th Grade Trombone and Baritone players should put their instruments and music in the band hallway to be loaded on the truck for tomorrow's Band Trip.

The girls lacrosse team improved their undefeated record to 7-0 with a strong 8-2 win over Elwood last week. The Lions were led offensively by Sabrina Shierant with a hat trick and Kylie Buccello with 2 goals. Blake Lyons, Tess Hogan and Hailey Tapp also scored goals for the Lions. Assists were added by Tess Hogan and Blake Lyons. The defense was led by Liv Hunter who picked up multiple ground balls throughout the game. Great job girls!
All 8th graders interested in trying out for West Islip Varsity Kickline, tryouts will be held at the High School in the upper gym next Monday, June 1st 4:30-6:30, Wednesday, June 3rd 4:30-6:30 and Thursday, June 4th 4:30-6:00. The Elizabeth T. McNamee Foundation is holding their annual drive. They are asking for donations of used and old cell phones and ink cartridges. All donations can be dropped off in the box in the main lobby.
