Friday,  October 30, 2026 -Blue Day-PM BELL ASSEMBLY SCHEDULE  

Advisory Club will meet today immediately after school in room 105. New members are welcome to attend! Ms. Matthews and Mrs. Gagliardi look forward to seeing you! 

There will be a mandatory meeting after school at 3:30 pm on Monday for any students interested in trying out for the boys basketball team.

The Current Events Club will meet next Wednesday, November 4th in room 234.  New members are always welcome.  Our topic will be:  Veterans Day.  Fish Will be served.

Esports will start next week.  Our first meeting will be Thursday, November 5th right after school in room 131 until 3:30 p.m.  We will be meeting every Tuesday after that.

The West Islip Health and Wellness Alliance is proud to present the 3rd annual GLOW RUN event, taking place at West Islip High School next Wednesday, November 4 at 6:30pm on the High School Track.  The deadline to pre-register on My School Bucks is TODAY!   $8 per person or $30 for a family of four or more.

Boys and Girls Cross Country Teams End the Season with a Win!  The boys and girls cross country teams competed in their final meet of the season on Wednesday against Brentwood, and both teams earned victories!  All of our runners did an outstanding job, and most achieved personal-best times. Their hard work, dedication, and determination throughout the season have truly paid off, and they should all be very proud of their accomplishments. Boys Team - Andy Lepsis — 6:45 mile, Matthew Johnson — 6:46 mile.  Girls Team - Emerson Terpko — 6:45 mile, Avery Terpko — 6:55 mile.  Congratulations to both teams on a fantastic finish to the season! We are proud of every athlete for their effort, sportsmanship, and commitment. Great job by all, and congratulations on a successful season!

The girls tennis team finished up their season with a dominating win over Central Islip by the score of 6-1.  The team was led in singles play by Nicole Galdeano and Dylan Bliss!  Lainey Quinn, Isabella Payamps, Georgia Savod, Arya Zambrano, Buse Kilinc and Paige Richichi all won their doubles matches.  The girls ended the season with a record of 9 wins and 1 loss!   Congratulation on a great season girls!

Thursday,  October 29, 2026 - Gold Day

Congratulations to the West Islip Field Hockey team on their 2–0 victory over Lindenhurst yesterday, continuing their undefeated season! Goals were scored by Gwen Dieckmann and Addy Kelly, with an assist by Sofie Chiara. Great job by the entire team on another impressive win!

The boys' soccer team won 2-1 against West Babylon under the lights yesterday with Sebastian Puleo scoring both goals to give them another victory this season. Brody Degere assisted the second goal to seal the win in the fifth quarter. They are looking forward to their next game on Friday, they will be playing Milton L. Olive here at Udall. Please come and support them!

The West Islip varsity gymnastics team had their last league and home competition yesterday, defeating Bayshore Islip, 164 to 172. The girls regular season is now completed, finishing 10-0, an undefeated season, and are league one champions, making West Islip varsity gymnastics history! This season has been amazing and we are not finished yet! West Islip will be going into team counties for Gymnastics as the first place seed on Tuesday in Patchogue Medford at 4 o’clock! Good luck to all the girls and great job this season so far!

The Geography Club will meet TODAY in room 124 with Mr. Wood.  Bring a friend and take on the challenge of the National Geography Bee!

There will be a STEAM Club meeting TODAY in room 231 right after school. 

There will be a meeting of the Chess and Games club today after school in room 227.  The club will last until 3:30 p.m.  See Mr. Loudon with any questions.

The Hack-A-Thon club meeting scheduled for today is canceled.  The next meeting will be on Wednesday, November 4th.

The Ukulele Club will have its first session after school today in Room 113. All students are welcome even if you have not signed up for the club. Uke really should come by and check it out!

Art Club will meet TODAY after school in room 114. Hope to see you there!

The girls tennis team continued their winning ways yesterday by beating a very tough Brentwood team 4-3.  The team was led in doubles play by Lainey Quinn and Georgia Savod!  Buse Kilinc, Isabella Payamps and Arya Zambrano all won their matches to help secure the win.  The girls have now improved their record to 8 wins and 1 loss on the season!

Congratulations to the girls' soccer team on a great win. Your hard work and dedication really shine through in each game. Olivia Feine had an awesome upper shot save! The game goals were scored by Laila Southard, Katarina Guevara, Deanna Southard, Maddie Tully, Aliyah Pazmino, and a hat trick header by Blake Lyons. Goals assisted were Aubrey Raffaele, Sophia Accomando, Charlotte Schafer, Mia Guido, and Maddie Tully.  Great work girls!  

The boys’ soccer team won against Deer Park 5-0 yesterday with 2 goals coming from Dylan Richardelli. Parker McWilliams, Dylan Serrano, and Logan Bergen also had a goal each. Assists were made by Gennaro Guarnera, Cooper Stein, Cody Donadio, and Logan Bergen. All around great team performance! The boys play again today against West Babylon, good luck!

The Ukulele Club will NOT meet today.  We will meet on WEDNESDAY, Oct. 28th after school in room 113.  

Mathletes will meet today after school until 3:15 in room 232. See you there!

Are you awesome in math, social studies, ELA, science or a foreign language and could help other students?  If yes, join the Peer Tutoring Club.  You can develop your leadership skills and get community service hours!  The first introduction meeting will be TOMORROW at 2:50pm in room 122.  If you have any questions, come see Ms. McCarthy.

The Udall Football Team defeated Sayville Middle School in a defensive battle by a score of 7-6 on Friday night at West Islip High School. Down 6-0 in the 4th quarter, Ryan Evert scored a rushing touchdown and also ran in the extra point to put the Lions up by 1. Anthony Binetti had a forced fumble and 3 huge pass breakups on Sayville's final drive to seal the win.
