Friday, May 8, 2026 - Gold Day

All physical education classes will meet by the cafeteria for class.  Do not go in the gymnasium. 

Girls volleyball open gym will begin on Tuesday, May 12th, at Udall Road Middle School from 6:30-8:00 pm.  Any 8th grade girls who are interested in playing volleyball next year at the High School are welcome to attend.  

West Islip Varsity Kickline will be having a clinic on Saturday, May 16th from 8:30am-12:00pm! Experience what WIVK does and get ready for tryouts! This clinic is open to incoming 7th-12th graders. The deadline to register is May 11th. Register on My School Bucks and our google form located on our Instagram or reach out to Coach Emma Iehle.

Thursday, May 7, 2026 - Blue Day

There will be an esports meeting today after school.

The girls track team had a great victory Wednesday afternoon vs West Hollow MS. The girls swept high jump: Isabella Fedyshyn in 1st, Reagan Sullivan & Izzy Zolciak  tied 2nd & Ella Toscano 3rd.  Riley McEvoy took first in shotput, Audney Williams 2nd & McKenzie Alman 3rd.  Katalina Guevara & Natalie Stasik tied 3rd in long jump. The girls swept 55m hurdles:  Mikaela Baker in 1st, Charlotte Richichi 2nd & Ella Toscano 3rd.   Riley placed 3rd in 55m.  McKenzie placed 3rd in 100m.  Reagan placed 3rd in the 1500 m with a PR!   Laila  Southard & Isabella took 1st & 2nd in the 400m. Charlotte & Mikaela took 2nd & 3rd place in 800m.  The girls swept the 200m with Meg Filiato in 1st, Laila 2nd & Mckenzie in 3rd. The following set new PR's this meet:  Charlotte, Mikaela, Ella, Izzy, Reagan, Natalie, Riley, Katalina, Addy, McKenzie & Audney.  Congratulations girls on your win and good luck next Thursday home vs Lindenhurst!

Mathletes will be meeting today after school until 3:15 in room 232. Any students with a permission slip for Friday, please bring it to Mrs. O’Connor in room 232.

There will be an esports meeting on Thursday right after school.

The Combined Middle School Boys' Tennis team is 3 and 0 now as they rolled over West Babylon 6-1.  Winning for the Lions was Landon Haimowitz, Evan O'Connor, Michael Beltrami, Nick Raucci, Justin Calcano, Bobby Landi, Andy Von Thaden and Giacomo Guarnera.  Winning their exhibition matches was Patrick Mulligan and Will Fox.  Well done.

The Girls Lacrosse team has picked up 2 wins recently over Bay Shore and West Babylon. In these two games the Lions were led by 5 goals by Kyle Buccello and 3 goals each by Sabrina Sheirant and Tess Hogan. Additional goal scorers include Vanessa Sutkowski, Lena Kutcher, Gabby Simone, Kate O' Regan, Lizzie Garcia and Guliana Vetere. The defense was led by Jamie Martinez with a combined 24 saves over the last 2 games! The girls are back in action on Thursday at home.  Please come support!

Mathletes will not meet today, we will be meeting tomorrow and Wednesday after school until 3:15 in room 232.  Any students with a permission slip for Friday please bring it to Mrs. O'Connor in room 232. 

The girls track team had a strong start to their season Friday afternoon vs Wyandanch. The girls swept high jump. Isabella Fedyshyn took 1st, Reagan Sullivan 2nd and Izzy Zolciak & Ella Toscano tied for 3rd.  Riley McEvoy took first in  shotput, McKenzie Alman took 2nd, and Audney Williams took 3rd. Natalie Stasik took 2nd and Meg Filiato took 3rd in long jump. Ella Toscano took 1st place in 55M hurdles followed by Charlotte Ricci in 2nd and Michaela Baker in 3rd. McKenzie took first place in the 100m and Isabella second place. Reagan placed first in the 1500 m. Laila  Southard and Isabella took 1st and 2nd in the 400m. Charlotte, Michaela and Ella swept the 800 m. Meg Filiato took third place in the 200m. Congratulations girls on your win and good luck Wednesday!

The Combined Middle School Boys' Tennis team tallied their 2nd victory against Babylon yesterday 6-1.  Scoring for the Lions was Michael Beltrami, Nick Raucci, Evan O'Connor, Alex Martin, Joe DellaUniversita, Joe Petrillo, Olek Sobko, Justin Calcano, Bobby Landi, and Jake Slayback. Great work Team! 

Congratulations to the softball team on their win against Copiague. Daniella Riback had 11 strikeouts facing 22 batters. Jasmine Ozdemir and Milania Morales led the offense with 7 runs scored and 8 RIBs between them.

Tuesday, April 28, 2026 - Gold Day

This is a reminder for all students planning on Opting Out of taking the NYS ELA and Math tests - Please bring your Opt Out letters to the Main Office. 

Mathletes will meet tomorrow after school in room 232 until 3:15pm.

Please join Beautification and No Place for Hate Clubs today after school in the Front Lobby.

We will be getting ready for spring and starting a planting project.  Bring a friend. See you Wednesday.

Attention 7th and 8th grade students:  If you are looking to earn community service hours, come to the main office and scan the QR code on the new flyer to help in the Snack Shack. (This must be done after school with your phone)  You need to be on the Shack schedule to work at the Shack.  You may need to request access to complete the Google form.  Then enter the required information and you will be contacted.  Any problems, there is an email listed J.Engler@westisliplittleleague.org.

The girls lacrosse team started off the season strong 1-0 with an 11-7 win against Islip. The girls were led by 3 goals a piece from Sabrina Sheirant and Tess Hogan. Adding to the scoring was 2 goals from Kate O' Regan and a goal each from Blake Lyons, Nicolette Batista and Kylie Buccello. Holding down the defense was Jamie Martinez who had 9 saves. The girls are back in action this Friday! 

The Udall baseball team defeated Amityville 15-0 in their first game of the season. The win was backed by great pitching efforts from Jack Pike, Michael Scandura, and Garrett Watkins. Offensively, Robbie Franco and Brendan Farrell had huge RBI hits, and Logan Platt hit a 2 run home run! Come out and support the boys on Friday for our first home game against Islip at 4:30.
