On behalf of the Counseling Office, today's Self-Care tip is to have a mindful start to your morning!  Starting your morning off mindfully will set your day up for peace and success. As soon as you wake up, take 5 minutes to wake up mindfully. Find a peaceful space in your home near a window, and sit in stillness for a few moments. Place one hand on your heart, and the other on your belly, and just breathe. Think of how you want to feel today. Think of how you want to be today. Breathe in a positive intention, and breathe out anything that doesn’t serve you well.

The counseling office will be kicking off Self-Care May today. You will be invited to join the counseling classroom today, please join it so that you can follow along with a self-care tip each day. Today's self care tip is to Step outside into nature and just BE. Give yourself a 'break'. Step outside in the fresh air and surround yourself in nature. Relax on the ground, sit near a tree, and feel the earth beneath you. Take big breaths in and out, and get "grounded" again.
