Hello Parents and Students:
Welcome, welcome, welcome back!!! Hope everyone has had an amazing summer!!!
We are going to definitely have an amazing and obviously unique opening to school this year. Keep in mind that all of us are experiencing an historical time in the world. We are pioneers of the future. We are bound together as a generation because of this experience. Oh, the stories you will be able to tell.
I have been teaching in the district for 20+ years. I am an Oquenock, Udall & Beach Street student and a West Islip High School graduate. I love animals and have a big old pit bull named Murphy. I love American History because I had great teachers from West Islip.
I will do my very best to keep you interested and of course laughing during the year. I teach both 7th and 8th grade. This will be a very exciting year.
Supplies needed for our class include:
1 -inch binder or you can share a binder with other classes
A small amount of loose leaf paper
Pens/pencils and highlighters for class each day
All assignments will be posted in Google Classroom and also explained in class. Be sure to check your classroom daily! I am available by email or phone every school day to answer questions from both students and parents. Please just email me at d.pulitano@wi.k12.ny.us. I am always available for extra help if you need it.

Fully Remote Guidelines
In the event that Udall Road Middle School enters into a fully remote learning environment, please follow the guidelines below:
Please make sure that your Chromebook is charged each day.
Students are expected to sign into each Google Meet on time and remain present for the duration of the class period.
The teacher will have the Google Meet link posted in their classroom for students to join the live lesson each day.
Attendance will be taken each period.
Students must display their faces and be situated in surroundings that are conducive to learning. Students should be seated at a desk, counter or table; with minimal distractions around them.
Students must be dressed appropriately for the school environment.
Students will follow their daily bell schedule while on remote learning. The bell schedule to be followed is below:

8:30 a.m. - 9:06 a.m.
Period 2
9:12 a.m. - 9:47 a.m.
Period 3
9:53 a.m. - 10:28 a.m.
Period 4
10:34 a.m. - 11:09 a.m.
Period 5
11:15 a.m. - 11:50 a.m.

11:56 a.m. - 12:31 p.m.

12:37 p.m. - 1:12 p.m
Period 8
1:18 p.m. - 1:53 p.m.
Period 9
1:59 p.m. - 2:34 p.m.
