This site will be used to document my journey as I attempt to create a ping pong-playing robotic arm. I decided to document my progress on this site rather than in a traditional notebook since I had so many online sources and pictures that I wanted to keep in one place. Having this site will be of tremendous help to me as I look back at things that worked and things that didn't!

Originally, I was thinking this project was going to be a decently sized project, but wow, did I underestimate how long this project would actually take me.

After diving head-first into the project, this became less of a cool thing for me to make and more of a huge learning experience toward learning important concepts about how mechanical, electrical, and software disciplines come together to make something awesome. This project also taught me not to give up when things don't work or when to scrap an idea when it doesn't seem to be going anywhere! I have tons of entries that document my fails, successes, and everywhere in between, but seeing the growth of myself and the project as a whole is the coolest part.

When completed, I plan to make this open source with build instructions for others to build their own and hopefully improve it!
