Policies and Expectations for Success
Classroom Rules and Student Expectations
Students are expected to check their Google Classroom or daily updates.
Some keys to success for our class are to keep an open mind and open ears, have a sense of humor even when it is difficult, and remember to use your imagination; it makes the difficult tasks easier.
Be respectful to everyone in the class.
Come to class prepared. This means bring your notebook, pen, and any other materials necessary for success.
Work to the best of your ability everyday. Remember to ask for help when you need it. I will be there!
Look out for each other.
Everyone is expected to participate. The class is always more interesting when you get involved. Take a chance and share your ideas! What if the greatest inventors, thinkers and creative artists never shared their ideas?
Completing homework assignments is necessary to be successful. Homework counts toward your grade. You will have several homework assignments that are graded throughout the marking period.
If you are absent from class, you are required and responsible to get the notes and homework assignments from a classmate unless either is a handout.
PLEASE do your own work! Cheating is never a good option and carries harsh consequences. Earning your grade is always better, even if you may be disappointed with it. It builds pride and character.
Remember, no one is perfect not even the teacher! Mistakes and missteps happen to everyone.
Try to laugh when you are in class, and enjoy the time you spend here. Ten months is a long time.
