Online Reading Resources for Parents

Dear Parent(s)/Guardian(s),

I hope that you are all well and are in good spirits.

In addition to accessing your child's classroom activities through the Google Classroom, here is a list of suggested activities/websites for your child to continue engaging and practicing their reading skills at home.

-scholastic.com/learnathome.com - articles and stories to read, videos and learning challenges

-Raz-kids.com - continued reading practice at your child's current reading level

-Starfall.com -practice with individual sounds/word patterns

-Abcya.com - learning games

Read (independently, shared, read aloud) for 20-30 minutes a day. Have your child write about their thinking on a post-it.

Journal writing -It can be a timed writing (3-5 minutes) about a feeling, thought, activity, experience, etc.

Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions and/or for further reading support. Please always remember to try your best, be patient and kind to each other.

Take care,

Mrs. Cregan :)
