I am so excited to be teaching at West Islip High School and Udall Road Middle School this year! As an Art Educator, I believe that Art is an integral part of a child's education. Art instruction helps children with the development of motor skills, language skills, social skills, decision-making, risk-taking, and inventiveness. Visual arts teach learners about color, layout, perspective, and balance: all techniques that are necessary in presentations (visual, digital) of academic work. A report by Americans for the Arts states that, "young people who participate regularly in the Arts (3 hours a day on 3 days each week through 1 full year) are 4 times more likely to be recognized for academic achievement, to participate in a math and science fair, or to win an award for writing an essay or poem than children who do not participate".

My goal is to inspire students' creativity and imagination through Art to encourage the next great designer, scientist, architect , author, illustrator you name it! My objective as your child's art teacher, is to have students leave my classroom feeling more confident, be better problem solvers, and learn to be more compassionate and empathetic to others.
