Dear Parents/Guardians,
I hope that you and your family are all well and in good spirits during this difficult time! In addition to your child's classroom activities, I am providing you with a list of suggested activities/websites for your child to engage in and practice their literacy skills:
March 23-27: Please choose one of the below learning experiences daily.

- Scholastic.com/learnathome.com -articles and stories to read, videos and learning challenges
- Raz-kids.com -continues reading practice at your child's current reading level
- Starfall.com -practice with individual sounds/word patterns
- Abcya.com -learning games
- Nessy.com -Nessy programs are designed to help students of all abilities learn to read, write and spell
- Read (independently, shared, read aloud). Have your child write about their thinking on a Post-It note or in a journal
- Journal writing -write about a feeling, thought, activity, experience, etc.
- Draw pictures/write notes, letters to elderly family members, friends or send to a nursing home
- Bring a notepad outside and sit for 10 minutes -write down all of your observations, including what you see, hear and smell (close your eyes and write about what you can hear only)
