Folder for handouts
Black or blue ink pens
#2 Pencils
Hand-held pencil sharpener
White out correction tape
Colored pencils and/or crayons
Scissors
Glue Stick
Calculator
CHARGED Chrome book
Grading Policy:
Assessments - 60%
Labs - 20%
Classwork - 10%
According to New York State law, every student enrolled in The Living Environment must complete 1,200 minutes of laboratory time. A satisfactory written report must be submitted for each lab. Failure to submit the reports by the announced deadline will result in a loss of eligibility to take the State Regents Exam in June.
*** Grades under 65 will NOT count as completed lab minutes***
*** There are 3 NYS mandated labs that are tested on the Regents Exam in June. These labs CANNOT be missed.***
Participation/Individual Work - 10%
Homework assignments and virtual learning assignments are due on the announced date. Late or incomplete work results in a grade of 0.
***Extra credit assignments are NOT offered for a change in grade***
Absences:
In case of absence, it is the student’s responsibility to make up all missed work and submit to the teacher. Students must check the Google Classroom for any posted classwork, notes, and/or homework.
Extra Help:
Extra help will be available on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons at 2:50 - 3:30. Additional extra help sessions may be offered in the mornings or afternoons when announced.
As a student, I have read, understand, and will observe the Living Environment course outline, supplies needed each class, and grading policy. Appropriate behavior and respect for myself, others, and materials in the classroom is EXPECTED on a daily basis. A copy of this document will be posted to the Google Classroom so that I may refer back to it as needed.
