I presented my current research work at the Illinois Geographical Society Conference in April 2023 in Springfield, IL, USA.

I also presented my research work on the Impact of Hurricane Ian on Residential Wood frame structures in Fort Myers Florida using GIS at the 10th Annual Graduate Research Conference of Western Illinois University. 

February 2023 turkiye - syria earthquakes

On February 6, 2023, a powerful earthquake devastated vast areas of southern Turkey (officially the Republic of Türkiye) and war-torn northwest Syria, leaving millions of people in the region struggling to rebuild their lives. The situation in northwest Syria has worsened since the disaster, with affected communities enduring immense challenges: displacement, hunger and malnutrition, lack of access to healthcare, and fires caused by extreme summer heat. Millions of people still grappling with the aftermath of the destruction face a deteriorating humanitarian crisis. This map uses data to visualize the hurricanes and its impact.

Cardillac, Michigan

Cadillac is a city in and county seat of Wexford County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 10,371 at the 2020 census, making it the second most-populated city in the Northern Michigan region, after Traverse City. Source: Wikipedia 

I used ArcGIS Pro to create a city limit for Cadillac, Michigan, using several pieces of data obtained from various sources.

Texas per capital income

The Texas Per-Income and Single-Parent Household with Children map shows the relationship between the two variables using ArcGIS Pro. Data gotten from the US Census Bureau and the Living Atlas of ArcGIS Pro was used to symbolize and visualize the map.

Earthquakes around the world (February - march 2023

Visualization of earthquakes around the world within a specified time. Data gotten was symbolized upon and projected to show the earthquakes and magnitude using various GIS processes.

Through ArcGIS Pro, this map visualizes the hydrological network of Lowndes County, Georgia, drawing upon data from the ArcGIS Living Atlas and Natural Earth.

Utilized ArcGIS Pro to display the primary transportation routes in Lowndes County, Georgia, with data obtained from Living Atlas.

This map shows the roads in Texas with the data sourced and projected using ArcGIS Pro. 

Languages of India

Using GIS to project the map of India and talk about the major langauges of the nation. GIS help to tell stories in ways that can be understood by all and sundry. 

Chicago Robberies

A thematic map showing robberies in Chicago within a stipulated time. Data was gotten from the City of Chicago website and symbolized.
