Trust Annual INSET
Colleagues from across AtC Trust schools attend the Trust annual conference and INSET training in Autumn every year. This centralised training offers a great opportunity for staff to work together, collaborate, network and share their expertise and experiences.
Every year the Trust focus on one of our core principles: Achieve - Belong - Collaborate.
Collaborate: Assessing with Purpose
The drive for aligned and purposeful assessment across our schools continues at pace. Work on developing excellence in assessment systems will continue to be a whole Trust development focus for the next two years.
Building on strong foundations from the last academic year, over the next two years we will ensure excellence with assessment in all of our schools, helping leaders and teachers design and implement systems and strategies for purposeful, (and where possible) aligned assessment - leading to improved teaching and learning and better outcomes for all.
The focus of the INSET day is to explore what purposeful assessment is and how to use action research to build a school approach. Staff will navigate their own day and use the information and training provided to design their own action research question.
Achieve: Adaptive Strategies and Meeting the Needs of All.
This year's theme and one of the big areas of focus for all Trust schools is personalisation.
The growing range of needs of the children in our Trust means that staff need to be significantly more informed, prepared and able to meet the diverse range of needs presented by our pupils. Our Trust vision for a high quality of education for all, regardless of starting points and barriers, is lived out in the aims of this year’s Trust wide staff training.
Belong: Belonging to a Trust
This year's theme is based on the idea of belonging to a Trust and what it means to collaborate with colleagues from across the organisation. This year is really about coming together to reinforce our Trust values and purpose and solidifying a strong sense of organisational identity.
