I grew up in the little village of Turtle Lake, Wisconsin. I graduated High
School in 1985. I then "ran away" to attend college at the University of
Wisconsin - La Crosse. I graduated in December, 1989 with a Bachelor of
Science Degree in Broad Field Social Studies. I have a double major in
Broad Field Social Studies and History and a minor in Political Science.
I also obtained a Master's Degree in Education - History from the
University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point.
At college in La Crosse, I met my future wife Sue. We have two children,
Erin and Josh.
I started my teaching career in Bowler, Wisconsin in 1992. At Bowler I
taught U.S. History, World History, Civics, and Native American History. I
also coached Football and Track. In 1998, I left Bowler and started my
current job at Wittenberg-Birnamwood High School.
