Over the years, we've had the pleasure of hosting a variety of events that have helped students expand their skillsets while having fun. We've held web development workshops that have allowed ACM members to familiarize themselves with popular web development tools and software. Our Arduino workshops have introduced students to the world of programming and provided hands-on experience with kits.
One of our most popular events is WitkendHack, a competition where students develop computer-based programs to win prizes. This has been a fantastic opportunity for students to showcase their creativity and problem-solving skills. We've also hosted an Hour of Code workshop where middle school and high school students can learn about coding, inspiring the next generation of computer scientists.
We understand that technical interviews can be a daunting process, so we've hosted a seminar where CO-OP and Career Fair staff speak about the technical interview process. This has helped students feel more confident and prepared when interviewing for internships or jobs. Lastly, we've discussed ethical hacking practices using rubber duckies from Hak5, giving students a hands-on approach to learning about this important topic.
We're proud of our track record of hosting successful events that have helped students grow and learn. As we continue to grow as a group, we look forward to organizing even more exciting events that will benefit our community.
