About Us

For 45 years, WISE ministered as a Bible college in the Caribbean. But starting in 2025, WISE adopted a new model of ministry: going to the churches in the Caribbean rather than hosting students in one location. This model allows WISE to continue its historical mission of developing church leaders and workers by:

Teaching Encouraging Equipping

While the model has changed, the mission remains unchanged!

Flexibility in number of countries and needs that can be addressed

Partnership with God’s people in the churches of the Caribbean

Learning for the Love of Learning

WISE no longer offers a degree program, but we are bringing learning right to your doorstep with short, focused learning activities. Qualified teachers will help you learn and grow in your service for the Lord. For those who wish to pursue further studies, WISE stands ready to offer guidance and direction.

WISE offers the following activities:

Training Retreats - Brief retreats for teaching and fellowship in various countries
Theme Classes - Week-long classes on selected topics in various countries
Online Studies - Short studies in a variety of Biblical and practical subjects
Church Collaboration - Participation in conferences, seminars, and other activities in collaboration with local churches

Individual church members can participate in what WISE offers by:

Attending classes or retreats when offered in your church or area
Joining in as many online studies as possible
Encouraging others to join you in learning opportunities

Church leaders can help their church benefit from WISE by:

Assessing specific needs in your church and talking with WISE about how we can join together to help address those needs through learning opportunities
Contacting WISE to schedule a training retreat or theme class in your church or area
Encouraging the members of your church to attend any and all classes which might be available to them, both in person and online

Individuals may take part in any class or study offered by WISE at no charge!

Our History

Established in 1979 in St. Lucia, WISE operated as a Bible college for the Caribbean. The college was located in St. Vincent from 1980 to 2015 and Barbados from 2015 to 2025. Students have attended from around the English-speaking Caribbean and Haiti, with over 300 graduates serving churches in at least 12 different countries. In 2025, WISE adopted a new model to go to the churches in the Caribbean and partner with them.
