On this website, you will find a number of resources, ways to connect, and things to do that can be used over the course of this year.  We will continuously be updating the resources and information to better support you.

This is Mr. Okasinski's 15th year at Wiseburn Middle School. During his tenure at WMS, he has served the community in a variety of capacities, including coach, teacher, dean, administrator, and counselor.   Currently, he provides support as the intervention coordinator, academic and at risk counselor.  Prior to this assignment, he taught and counseled in the Culver City, Centinela Valley and Los Angeles Unified school districts.  Mr. Okasinski completed his graduate studies at the California State University at Los Angeles.  He earned his undergraduate degree and teaching  credential from the University of Michigan.  Throughout his years as an educator, he has concentrated on the needs of his students, always aiming to support them in their academic, career and personal social growth.

Ms. Enge has been a counselor at Wiseburn Middle School for ten years and she first entered the Wiseburn school district as a counseling intern in 2012. Currently, some of her duties include organizing the middle school transition program for 6th grade students, acting as a liaison to the DaVinci High Schools, and collaborating with teachers to provide services for our at-risk students.  Prior to this, Ms. Enge completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she majored in  psychology.  After college she spent a year teaching English internationally at the Kindergarten, 3rd, and 6th grade levels in Chiang Mai, Thailand.  Ms. Enge received her Masters degree in Education and she is also a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.

This is Mr. Pearlman's third school year at Wiseburn Middle School. Prior to joining the team at Wiseburn, Mr. Pearlman worked with at-promise youth and adults in an individualized educational environment to address their barriers and needs as they recovered credits en route to a high school diploma.  Mr. Pearlman has also worked in El Segundo Unified School District and Culver City Unified School District. Mr. Pearlman received his Bachelors degree from UC Santa Cruz in Modern Literary Studies and earned his Masters degree in Counseling with a specialization in school counseling from Loyola Marymount University. In addition to being a School Counselor, Mr. Pearlman  is an Associate Professional Clinical Counselor.  He loves talking music, art and basketball and will never turn down an opportunity to discuss!
