Mrs. Balderas graduated from the University of Texas-Pan American with a Bachelors in Bilingual Education and became and educator in 2003. In 2010 she became a librarian and received a graduate degree in library science from Sam Houston State University. Mrs. Balderas is excited to begin a new adventure at Mario Ybarra Elementary in her role as librarian and serve as a resource for our students, staff and community.

Hello Ybarra Patriots! I am Ms. Hernandez also known as Ms. Yuri (Library Aide). I graduated from South Texas College with my teaching Associates in 2011 and I received my bachelors in Organizational in Leadership in 2018. I have always worked in a school setting and love to work with children. I have been working in the library for the past 3 years and have learned so much. I love helping our staff, students and parents.
