The grant has supported several different initiatives for Weslaco ISD. One of the main focuses has been on additional Mental Health Resources for our students. All three SCG campuses have one Licensed Professional Counselor who is housed at their campus. These LPCs provided Tier 2 and Tier 3 supports as needed by the individual students. LPCs additionally provide small group and behavioural supports at each of their respective campuses.
Families are provided opportunities for connection, education, and engagement.
