GEAR UP OBJECTIVES

OBJECTIVE 1

  • Increase academic performance and preparation for postsecondary education of GEAR UP students.

OBJECTIVE 2

  • Increase the rate of high school graduation and participation in postsecondary education of GEAR UP students through systemic transformation of schools.

OBJECTIVE 3

  • Increase GEAR UP students' educational expectations and students' and their families knowledge of postsecondary education, options, preparation and financing.

OBJECTIVE 4

  • Increase students'/parents' knowledge and skills, including STEM-Computer Science skills and prepare them to be informed, thoughtful, and productive citizens.

GEAR UP promotes positive change in the Region One area through education. We want students to be successful in their college and career goals.

GEAR UP will follow your student for the remainder of their junior high and high school education. Your family will be afforded opportunities to gain valuable knowledge about post secondary opportunities, financial literacy, and much more.
