Why play instruments?

Studies have found that learning to play a musical instrument can enhance verbal memory, spatial reasoning and literacy skills. Playing an instrument makes you use both sides of your brain, which strengthens memory power.

Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration

Students in all grades learned about four different Hispanic musicians to celebrate Hispanic Heritage month. They learned about their lives, their music, and they even played along and danced to some of their more popular tunes. Here student in first and second grade play and dance along to Celia Cruz and Tito Puente's song, "Cao Cao Mani Picao."
