Who am I

I was born in Phoenix, Arizona on March 15, 1978. Soon after I was born my family moved to Denver, Colorado in 1980. During my 4th grade school year in 1988 my parents decided to move to Weslaco, Texas where my father is originally from. I am a Weslaco High School graduate from 1996 and plan to live in the Rio Grande Valley for the rest of my life. I attended the University of Texas Pan American (UTPA) and graduated in 2004 with a bachelors degree in Health Science. Soon after I graduated from UTPA I applied for a teaching position within the Weslaco school district and luckily I was hired as a special education teacher. I love teaching and love teaching in Weslaco. The students I work with are one of a kind. There is something new I learn about them everyday. I like to get to know the student while they are in my class as well as at home. I like to understand my students and where they come from. There is no other occupation that I see as self-fulfilling as being a teacher. My goal is to make a difference in all of my students from year to year and to be the one teacher they remember for a lifetime.
