Welcome to Wiscasset's home on the web for the 2019/2020/2021 Comprehensive Planning Process.

Step one: Establish a Comprehensive Plan Review Committee to audit existing 2008 Comprehensive Plan list of Town Resources.

~Seek wide cross section of community to volunteer to complete this work. A public meeting was held on July 10th to get input from interested community members on how to build a committee to review the existing comprehensive plan.

As of July, 2020, nine members have agreed to volunteer for the committee, six have been formally appointed by the BOS, three need to get their applications in. Our process was put on hold in March with Covid 19 and is restarting in July via Zoom.

Step two: Audit 2008 Comprehensive Plan Goals documents; how have we done on each of the targeted goals?

As of July, 2020, Volunteer committee members have reviewed and updated, or are in the process of updating, all sections of the 2008 plan's inventory of town resources.

Step three: Update goals with community participation.

Beginning in July, 2020, with review of Survey from 2008. Culminating in community vision setting in early spring 2021.

Step four: Compile updated list of Town Resources and updated goals in to new Comprehensive Plan for the Town of Wiscasset.

For June Town Meeting, 2021.
