Phil & Sci Icosikaidigon: a reading group

I have co-founded and sustained a small community dedicated to studying philosophy of science, for Chinese-speaking scholars overseas. The community originated from a reading group at Simon Fraser University in 2018. Since its members graduated and landed in various Ph.D. programs, new members have joined and increased its diversity. Now, regular members include: Weixin Cai (UCSD), Zili Dong (Western), Ge Fang (Washington-St. Louis), Yichen Luo (Nanyang Technological University), Tianqin Ren (University of Missouri-Columbia), Anqi Wang (Leeds), and myself, among others. Each of us has our own research projects, and we share knowledge, ideas, and information concerning philosophy of science. Senior faculty are periodically invited as guest speakers. The name, 'Icosikaidigon' (Greek for '22-sided figure'), reflects the current number of members and is updated as the group evolves.

If you are interested in joining/visiting us, you can send me an email at szhao249@wisc.edu.

The group meets weekly via Zoom on the weekends throughout the year. Common topics of discussion include:

The group also frequently reads members' drafts, practices presentations, and always provides collegial support.
