Welcome to Pragati Maheshwary's Portfolio!

I am an undergraduate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, in my Senior year, majoring in Computer Science (Honors) and Psychology (Honors).

Nice to Meet You!

Originally from Bhopal, India, my path to advanced education was greatly influenced by my early experiences that taught me resilience and adaptability. These qualities were a result of my mother's dedication to ensuring I had a well-rounded educational environment. Being raised by young, working parents helped me deeply value hard work and the intangible aspects of life. My academic journey began in a local school in India and later expanded to studying psychology and computer science in the United States. This educational experience was enriched by my mother's comprehensive approach to learning and further broadened by my younger brother's experience with ADHD, which enhanced my awareness of the varied educational needs of individuals.

Driven by a commitment to educational equity, I chose to pursue a PhD in Learning Science and Technologies. My aim is to explore the complexities of the human psyche to enhance the educational experience for diverse learners. My dedication to this cause is reflected in my mentorship with UW-Madison's Matriculate program, my Social Justice internship, and my co-founding of UpEducators in India, providing free Google Skill Training to NGO educators.

Currently, as a Peer Software Trainer at UW-Madison, I have trained over 150 students from various backgrounds, contributing to the diversification of the tech field. My personal and professional journey is fueled by a passion for applying psychological principles in education, ensuring that every learner has the opportunity to thrive.
