About PGSRM

The Pharmaceutics Graduate Student Research Meeting (PGSRM) is a scientific program intended to foster education in the diverse areas of pharmaceutical sciences including drug discovery, design delivery and formulation. Multiple disciplines are utilized in pharmaceuticals research including biotechnology, biopharmaceutics, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, pharmaceutical materials science and analytical methods.

Each year PGSRM brings together around 250 graduate students from numerous Midwestern universities to share their research interests and explore the vast scientific issues within pharmaceutical sciences alongside academic and industrial experts.

Graduate student presentations in poster and podia format will be conducted throughout the meeting on Friday. In addition, PGSRM 2019 will feature several guest speakers from academia and industry covering key topics in drug discovery, combinatorial synthesis, next-generation sequencing, 3D printing and personalized medicine. Moreover, the keynote address for this occasion will be delivered by Jacques Galipeau MD, Professor, with a special focus on “Bringing stem cell mediated approaches to personalized cellular immunotherapies”

Lastly, an interactive career development session hosted by experts with vast experience in different aspects within the pharmaceutical world will provide an opportunity for graduate students to gain insight into their possible career directions and challenges in the pharmaceutical world.
