All Introductory Biology 152 students conduct a semester-long research project in which they propose a novel research question, work to answer that question, and communicate their findings with a formal scientific paper, presentation, and poster symposium. Students may complete their independent projects by either conducting mentored research with a lab on campus or by conducting a quantitative meta-analysis of published literature with a group of classmates. We invite you to attend this semester's poster symposium and help us celebrate the incredible accomplishments of our students and learn something new about biology.
The spring 2022 poster symposium features over 870 students and over 525 projects during two evenings. Please select one of the dates below for more information about the students and projects that will be present at each session.
The Introductory Biology 152 poster symposium is an exciting event that allows our students to showcase the impressive work they've been doing all semester. Check out this video from the fall 2021 poster symposium for a quick peek into the event. It is always an exciting experience to which the students bring incredible enthusiasm.
